<span style="font-size: large;">Summary</span><br />
<br />
<blockquote class="tr_bq">
2 girls + 3 guys + 1 house - parents = 10 things April and her friends did that they (definitely, maybe, probably) shouldn't have.<br />If given the opportunity, what sixteen-year-old wouldn't jump at the chance to move in with a friend and live parent-free? Although maybe "opportunity" isn't the right word, since April had to tell her dad a tiny little untruth to make it happen (see #1: "Lied to Our Parents"). But she and her housemate Vi are totally responsible and able to take care of themselves. How they ended up "Skipping School" (#3), "Throwing a Crazy Party" (#8), "Buying a Hot Tub" (#4), and, um, "Harboring a Fugitive" (#7) at all is kind of a mystery to them.<br />In this hilarious and bittersweet tale, Sarah Mlynowski mines the heart and mind of a girl on her own for the first time. To get through the year, April will have to juggle a love triangle, learn to do her own laundry, and accept that her carefully constructed world just might be falling apart . . . one thing-she-shouldn't-have-done at a time.</blockquote>

<span style="font-size: large;">Review</span><br />
<br />
I bought this on my Kindle for 99 cents awhile back. To be honest, I kind of forgot about it until I was going through my Kindle recently and found it again. I decided it would be the perfect summer read. I had read really good reviews going into this book, so I thought it would be a good one to pick up.<br />
<br />
First of all, the title. I mean, who can’t love that title? I think it’s adorable and perfect for the novel.<br />
<br />
Even though this book is totally unrealistic, and something like this would be very unlikely to happen in real life, I could totally imagine myself in April’s shoes. All of the characters in this novel are very realistic. I fell in love with Hudson very fast, and detested Noah almost immediately. Vi and Marissa are people that I would want to be best friends with. April is very much the person I wish I was - independent, wild, strong, carefree, and outgoing.<br />
<br />
I love the different settings involved in this book - Westport, Paris, and Cleveland. But really… April, why in the world wouldn’t you move to Paris? I mean… it’s Paris!<br />
<br />
I gave this book 4.5 out of 5 stars. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was the ending. I felt as though it was extremely rushed, as though Sarah Mlynowski wanted to hurry up and finish the novel. I didn’t have enough closure with this book as I would have liked.<br />
<br />
I very much enjoyed this book. It was the perfect summer read and exactly what I was in the mood to read. I definitely suggest you pick up Ten Things We Did (and Probably Shouldn’t Have)<br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Cover Comments</span><br />
<br />
I love this cover! I think it’s absolutely adorable, and perfect for this novel (which is absolutely adorable as well). I think it fit’s the story and title perfectly. I think it’s the perfect cover for a fun chick lit book like this one.<br />

To be honest, I have only mowed (very small, since no one in the city had very big) lawns for money, and back in the city when I was living with my parents and my grandmother, it was good enough money to support <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_8" class="blsp-spelling-error">Greyson's</span> needs and some of my wants. </span></div><br /><br /><div><span style="font-size:130%;"></span></div><br /><br /><div><span style="font-size:130%;">To my surprise, I got the job! I thought it was a good idea if I shared a little bit more about Landon before I went ahead with the legacy, just so that everyone knows who they are reading about! I will start doing this for every heir, right before I start their story! I might have mentioned some of their traits during their parents' generation, but that doesn't matter. Anyways, here is Landon:<br /><br /><br /><br /><div align="center"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 210px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5664162924739380610" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwsiFxd_yQQln6xlAixua9F0wqb2cFsIvTt8r8mqfa7U8Y0uEZnAEMTKM2uiEl4VIoJ1HlzLbKhInfQ-IA6-lF69Z2htf8F_wx98sxDO6r8gPmJxdxYKAvUpD3aPAp-Bi3UmHYtA-DNDY/s320/Landon+Braun.jpg" /></div><br /><p align="center"><strong>Landon Timothy <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_0" class="blsp-spelling-error">Braun</span></strong></p><br /><p align="left"><strong>Traits:</strong></p><br /><p align="left"><span id="SPELLING_ERROR_1" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">Vegetarian</span></p><br /><p align="left">Virtuoso</p><br /><p align="left">Hopeless Romantic</p><br /><p align="left">Ambitious</p><br /><p align="left">Friendly</p><br /><p align="left"></p><br /><p align="left"><strong>Favourites:</strong></p><br /><p align="left">Music: Pop</p><br /><p align="left">Food: Peanut Butter Sandwich</p><br /><p align="left">Colour: Grey</p><br /><p align="left"></p><br /><p align="left"><strong>Sign: </strong>Gemini</p><br /><p align="left"></p><br /><p align="left">I hope everyone will continue reading this legacy, I will be posting another chapter soon and maybe the start of a different legacy (;</p><br /><p align="left"></p><br /><p align="left">-</p><br /><p align="left">Sierra</p>Sierrahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10103696594873021746noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9031691761636234142.post-61262841305393608182011-10-15T16:51:00.001-07:002011-10-15T17:46:23.753-07:00The Braun Family Tree; Chapter One (Introductions)<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhuEOCE5ccWswKkUd958xv9lg3EZVa4Ufgp_WArVWXKuERE63Hx07Jwf7cVHNtSu5xy8Clqfir0EitoqI5wi-lNDPAgWoUaugCo4mp0KoJ2AzshXP7R0uhHrcGP_x7-KsQQpBbzEOyt05M/s1600/Screenshot-30.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5663877394449852402" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhuEOCE5ccWswKkUd958xv9lg3EZVa4Ufgp_WArVWXKuERE63Hx07Jwf7cVHNtSu5xy8Clqfir0EitoqI5wi-lNDPAgWoUaugCo4mp0KoJ2AzshXP7R0uhHrcGP_x7-KsQQpBbzEOyt05M/s400/Screenshot-30.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><br /><div><br /><br /><div><br /><br /><div><br /><br /><div><br /><br /><div><br /><br /><div><span style="font-size:130%;">Hello! My name is Landon Timothy <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_0" class="blsp-spelling-error"><span id="SPELLING_ERROR_0" class="blsp-spelling-error">Braun</span></span>, and I am a young adult Sim (barely!). This is me holding my son, <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_1" class="blsp-spelling-error"><span id="SPELLING_ERROR_1" class="blsp-spelling-error">Greyson</span> Michael</span> <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_2" class="blsp-spelling-error"><span id="SPELLING_ERROR_2" class="blsp-spelling-error">Braun</span></span>. I am currently single, but I am looking forward to settling down with someone I love soon.<br /></span><span style="font-size:130%;"></span></div><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5663877391762568466" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGSVUVEyHHTTgGyMp9TTsYmWBXzbgwrTb7B2MCBllV5OTjkm2obyV-CVoEsw2Oj9dIod1PXY0gB8rIRpXEx0Qzniz1cB98b0OwQhibQjHUZk744VPMVyo0tUX2NqwMxzdt2SxWloCWQDs/s400/Screenshot-31.jpg" /><br /><br /><br /><br /><div><span style="font-size:130%;"><span id="SPELLING_ERROR_3" class="blsp-spelling-error"><span id="SPELLING_ERROR_3" class="blsp-spelling-error">Greyson</span></span> and I moved into a half-way home in Sunset Valley just a couple weeks ago. I just had enough money to pay for this house, furnishings and all. I still had to make a few <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_4" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">adjustments</span>, considering our needs. </span><br /><br /></div><br /><br /><br /><p><span style="font-size:130%;">The reason why I moved out of my parent's house so soon are very complicated. I was saving up to move out as soon as possible anyways, because I was just a teenager with a baby and I didn't want my parents to have to worry about both my son and I. After all, he was my son. I planned that as soon as I turned 18 I would move into a small apartment in <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_5" class="blsp-spelling-error"><span id="SPELLING_ERROR_4" class="blsp-spelling-error">Bridgeveiw</span></span>, where I lived at the time. Well, a couple days short of my eighteenth birthday, my parents' where brutally murdered while walking home from a party they were at. It tore me a part. I stayed with my grandmother for awhile, but I knew I couldn't stay there for long. I waited until I graduated high school before I told her I was moving to Sunset Valley. The reasons for this were because it was much cheaper to move into a small house in Sunset Valley than it was to move into a even smaller apartment in <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_6" class="blsp-spelling-error"><span id="SPELLING_ERROR_5" class="blsp-spelling-error">Bridgeview</span></span>. She was sad to see me go, but she knew it was the right thing to do.</span></p><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5663877392726168482" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhXyybdnjYKeR5AEd_UzDjc2uNQVmfIa_Dbdvj5tEGy73sCrDaCfYO2JzxEA6OB8K8FWbWxA5MpuLbYRE5MSIOW_fAqEOP4qH6-1fHZlv6b_FdU9pENGKKB_hkcNxmvlIkrE1NQjKsswP4/s400/Screenshot-32.jpg" /><br /><br /><br /><p><span style="font-size:130%;">Almost as soon as we were both settled in, I called the babysitter. It was time for me to get a part-time job. I knew that I would never be able to get a regular job unless I got a <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_7" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">roommate</span> or got married because I would have no one to watch <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_8" class="blsp-spelling-error"><span id="SPELLING_ERROR_6" class="blsp-spelling-error">Greyson</span></span>. I was going to apply to get a job at the bookstore, which would give me exposure to new people that I probably wouldn't have met before.</span></p><br /><br /><br /><p><span style="font-size:130%;">I knew that moving into this new place was going to be hard on us, but I think its all going to be worth it in the end.</span></p></div></div></div></div></div>Sierrahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10103696594873021746noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9031691761636234142.post-6453040435896979822011-10-15T16:21:00.000-07:002011-10-15T16:51:01.845-07:00NEW SIMS 3 PRETTACY! (The Braun Family Tree)I have decided to start my very first Sim legacy.<br /><br /><br />Well, my first two Sim legacies. This <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_0" class="blsp-spelling-error">prettacy</span> is one of two that I am going to write.<br /><br /><br />I have changed up the basic rules of a <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_1" class="blsp-spelling-error">Prettacy</span>, because I don't want to be the exact same as some other <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_2" class="blsp-spelling-error">Prettacies</span>. For the heir, I am always going to have someone who is "pretty" (I think I am going to have polls for who is going to be the heir at the end of each generation) and I am going to try to make their spouse a Sim who isn't <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_3" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">necessarily</span> attractive, and try to make pretty babies, to make the next heir!<br /><br /><br />Get the idea? I simply named this <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_4" class="blsp-spelling-error">Prettacy</span> "The <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_5" class="blsp-spelling-error">Braun</span> Family Tree" for now, once I get writing I would love it if you guys would come up with better titles, or I might just stick with this one, its just simple.<br /><br /><br />I know you guys must be getting excited to get a sneak peek on who the heir is going to be. Well, you're in luck! I have the very first picture of generation one's heir! The first pretty heir is....<br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFEEa1U6o5cxsF-BLgYatlytBKb3yzO3k8HYOpC_J5cTcn9gHFXmAbX6H2Kfcc3m-dPVusvTW2KW_ujsXlJbA28CVRVi4AYaEPRz904kf4sfhCbCYl5eTgboVmoDP1z0HjyPVHXt2LS9g/s1600/Screenshot-30.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5663864061460629010" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFEEa1U6o5cxsF-BLgYatlytBKb3yzO3k8HYOpC_J5cTcn9gHFXmAbX6H2Kfcc3m-dPVusvTW2KW_ujsXlJbA28CVRVi4AYaEPRz904kf4sfhCbCYl5eTgboVmoDP1z0HjyPVHXt2LS9g/s400/Screenshot-30.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><br /><div>This handsome guy! His name is Landon <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_6" class="blsp-spelling-error">Braun</span>, and he is holding his son, <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_7" class="blsp-spelling-error">Greyson Braun</span>. I can't wait to start writing their story! I hope you will follow along. (:</div><br /><br /><br /><div>-</div><br /><br /><div>Sierra</div><br /><br /><br /><div>PS. I'm not sure how many generations I am going to continue this on for, but I think at least ten. Maybe more if this go's good!</div>Sierrahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10103696594873021746noreply@blogger.com0
